BSW Fasteners for 2' Gauge Steam Locomotive

At Thomas Smith Fasteners, we’re proud to help preserve railway history. Recently, we supplied BSW fasteners for the second overhaul of a 2' gauge steam locomotive at the Golden Valley Light Railway. Built in 1997 as a retirement project, this locomotive is a great example of traditional steam engineering.

The creator chose BSW fasteners for this project, remaining true to British heritage. Close to 30 years later, the locomotive needs its second major overhaul. The boiler must be thoroughly checked, and any worn parts must be replaced every ten years to keep it running safely.
